Is Warpdle free?
Yes. Play Daily and every era mode without an account. If ads return after the site has more unique pages, they sit below the game, not on top of the clip.
Where do the songs come from?
Billboard year-end top 10 singles, grouped by decade. Daily can draw from the full span. An era mode only uses that decade's list.
Why is the audio backwards?
So you are not just recognizing the first drum hit of a song you have heard a thousand times. The reverse is the puzzle. The original preview is the reward after you finish.
Does orange mean I won?
No. Orange is the artist only. You still need the title for a solve. Green is a win.
Can I play yesterday's puzzle?
Yes. Open Archive for that mode. Today's live puzzle is never in the archive list.
Do streaks need a login?
No. Streaks and guesses store in local storage on this browser. A new phone or a cleared cache starts you over.
Will sharing spoil the song?
The share grid is colors and guess count only. It does not include the title or artist.
Is this affiliated with Billboard or the artists?
No. Charts are used as a public historical list of hits. Warpdle is an independent quiz.
Why did a page fail to load the clip?
The game needs a 30-second preview it can reverse. If a catalog title has no preview, it is skipped when the daily job builds the puzzle.
