Open today's puzzle. Hit play. The clip is reversed on purpose. Your job is to name the song.

Guesses and clip length

1. Guess 1 plays 1 second of the reverse.
2. Guess 2 plays 2 seconds.
3. Guess 3 plays 4 seconds.
4. Guess 4 plays 8 seconds.
5. Guess 5 plays the full 16-second reverse.

Skip counts as a miss and grows the clip the same way. You can search any song in the catalog, not only the era you are playing. The hidden answer still comes from that mode's Billboard year-end top 10 pool.

Colors

Green means you got the title. Orange means the artist is right and the title is not. Gray is a miss. The share grid uses those colors and leaves the song name off the post.

Daily vs Eras

Daily is the mixed-era quiz. Eras (2020s through 1960s) each lock the pool to that decade. You can play every mode in a day. Streaks are stored per mode on this device.

After you finish

The original, unreversed preview can play for 30 seconds. Native audio controls stay off so the result screen does not turn into a player widget. You can share the grid, set a reminder for tomorrow, or open the archive and replay an older date.
